Department of Human Resources

The Department of Human Resources works on an established heritage of more than 30 years in which education in high-quality organisational, management and development activities in human resources is of the utmost importance.

The department's task is to transfer knowledge and develop skills that will enable students to develop strategic thinking and a critical thinking and integrated approach in the field of human sciences.

Our aim is to train economist experts in the Human Resources BA programme who, along with skills gained in the field of economics, also acquire knowledge in psychology, self-knowledge, an understanding of human behaviour, and high-level empathic skills.

Our graduates have extensive professional and general literacy, both in the management process of human resources and in the functions of labour market mechanisms.

The Department places particular emphasis on enriching students' theoretical knowledge with practical experience, thus assisting in their later employment.

In our didactic method emphasise continuous methodological renewal. In the seminars that are held alongside the lectures, our students deal with processing corporate case studies, real-world problems, developing their professional competences with individual and group task solutions, and we enable life-like learning by bringing our own experience into the training.

The Department participates in research programmes at institute, faculty and institutional levels, actively participating in talent management, both by supervising students conducting academic research and PhD studies, and by facilitating their participation in research teams.
